Prevention and Education
Prevention at the Sexual Assault Resource Agency is about stopping sexual violence before it happens by working with our community to shift the conditions that allow harm to occur.
We partner with schools, restaurants, youth programs, and local organizations to build skills like consent, respect, and bystander intervention in real, everyday situations. Our work focuses on changing norms, strengthening policies, and supporting environments where people feel safe speaking up and supporting each other.
We know prevention looks different in every space, so we tailor our programs to meet people where they are. Ultimately, prevention means creating a community where safety, dignity, and respect are the standard, not the exception.

SARA works closely with the restaurant industry to increase protective factors in the workplace and provide ongoing support to restaurant leadership and staff. We aim to be a collaborative resource in creating cultural norms that do not permit sexual harassment.

Faith Communities
People from all faith and religious backgrounds can join together to provide support to survivors and prevent abuse.
