The CAC’s mission is to facilitate a culturally and linguistically responsive and sustainable network of community resources that meets the needs and enhance services to Deaf and Hard of Hearing victims/survivors.
Established in October 2019 after receiving funding from the United States Department of Justice, Office on Violence Against Women, the Community Access Collaboration: Supporting Deaf and Hard of Hearing Victims/Survivors Sexual and Domestic Violence (CAC) was created in Charlottesville, Virginia (VA) to improve access and services for Deaf and Hard of Hearing victims/survivors of sexual and domestic violence throughout Planning District 10 which includes the City of Charlottesville and the counties of Albemarle, Fluvanna, Green, Louisa, and Nelson.
