Below are explanations of the two main types of training opportunities we offer. Our training topics are not limited to these examples, and we are able to customize trainings to meet the needs of the audience.

Prevention Training

Prevention training would be most appropriate for audiences wishing to learn about topics used within the Primary Prevention Model. The training is intended to empower audience members with knowledge and skills that will help prevent sexual abuse before it happens. Example topics might include:

  • Bystander intervention
  • Healthy relationships
  • What you can do to prevent sexual assault or abuse
  • Consent---what is it? How do we recognize it?

Intervention Training

Intervention training would be most appropriate for audiences wishing to learn how to respond to individuals who have already experienced a sexual assault/abuse. The training is intended to empower audience members with the knowledge and skills needed to best respond to an individual who discloses that she/he has experienced a sexual assault/abuse or needs support. Example topics might include:

  • Crisis Intervention 101 for School Counselors
  • What Healthcare Professionals Need To Know
  • How to Best Support Your Loved One

Given the above explanations, tell us about your training needs.
