SARA will be at Barnes & Noble all afternoon, with family activities, program information, and special author events. A perfect time to pick up that perfect Valentine’s Day present!
Special Author Events
1pm-2:30pm: Book Signing with Jack Hanny, author of Secrets from the White House Kitchens
3pm-5:00pm: Romance novelist Nicole Green, author of Holding Her Breath and Love Out of Order, will discuss consent and healthy sexuality in romance literature. Facilitated by SARA’s Youth Educator.
For Kids
2:00pm-4pm: Kids craft station–make a book mark or make a mess—what matters is having fun!
2:30-3:30pm: Story time with SARA prevention education staff featuring the picture books we use in our school programs
A portion of Barnes & Noble sales will benefit SARA. Be sure to mention the CHS book fair when you check out!
A local production of The Vagina Monologues is planned for March 8th and 9th at The Sanctuary of The Haven, 112 West Market Street, Charlottesville. Proceeds will benefit SARA! Tickets available soon.

Join us for the second annual SARA Three-for-All, the world’s largest three-legged race!This fun, family-friendly event will encourage personal and community responsibility for ending sexual violence. Participants of all ages will pair up to step out together against assault, abuse, stalking, and harassment.If 500 pairs participate, we will break the world record for the most pairs in a three-legged race!When:10am-12pm, April 14, 2012Where: Downtown Mall, Charlottesville
